May was a busy month for the Garden Club. Our monthly morning meeting involved the placement of 60 live plants in the Lincoln Park Pollinator Garden. Using a plant identifier app, Joe-Pye Weed, wild petunia, coneflower, wild bergamot and many other perennials were seen growing from seed scattered last fall. The live plants included false sunflower and Autumn Sneezeweed. The evening meeting was an informative presentation regarding the development of rain gardens. The Club has information available about these gardens anytime anyone would like to access it.
Our meeting in June will be held at the clubhouse on the 9th at 9:30am. Looking ahead, our July meeting will be a garden walk. Time and location will be discussed at the June meeting and announced here, in this blog. Anyone is welcome to join us, both at the meeting and for the walk.
