The pandemic is serious and for the good of all, we must follow the recommended precautions. But that doesn't mean you can't get out and get some expercise. Getting active may mitigate the weight gain and lift your spirits too.
Pickleball is played outside, at least 6 feet from your partner. The most contact you have is clinking paddles together to celebrate a good shot or at the end of the game as a sign of good sportsmanship. However, waving your paddle at someone is as good as clinking. Because we all touch the same ball, some use gloves on their ball hand and others just don't touch their face or use sanitizer.
Pickleball is easy and quick to learn, suitable for all ages (avg age of players at Heritage Lake is 60), and socially distanced. Join us on Thursdays from 5-7 or Saturdays from 9-11 am at the clubhouse courts. We wecome new players and will teach you the game.
