While temperatures are predicted to be spring-like the next little while, don't be fooled into thinking that getting a head start on clearing winter's debris is a good idea. Insects, bees, worms are using that debris for a long winter's sleep. They won't emerge until nighttime temps stay in the 50's for a around 10 days. That usually happens late April. So let them sleep. And consider letting your grass grow a little longer to allow early blooming plants such as dandelions to provide food for them when they do emerge.
We discuss this and other gardening tips at our monthly meetings. The Garden Club resumes our meetings in March, the 9th to be exact. We will meet at the clubhouse at 9:30am for an organizational meeting. We welcome new members and new ideas as we move forward in 2023.
Ah, but one can always hope😁😁
